Question: After cheek implant surgery, how bad is the post-op swelling, and how soon would I be able to go back to work?
Answer: We normally advise patients that they can return to normal work and social activities at about 10 days after surgery. There will also be some mild residual edema, but aesthetically it’s imperceptible to casual observation. You’ll note that there is still some swelling that resolves over an additional several weeks, but you should be very presentable at 10 days to two weeks.
